About the position

The Senior Operations Strategy Manager at QuidelOrtho plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategic roadmaps for Operations and Supply Chain. This position requires collaboration with various departments to enhance manufacturing utilization and drive strategic initiatives. The role is remote and involves significant project management and leadership responsibilities, focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, evaluates, and executes strategic operations initiatives.
  • Leads strategic initiatives from opportunity identification to impact measurement.
  • Analyzes large amounts of information and data to make actionable recommendations.
  • Develops strong partnerships with leaders from various cross-functional operations teams.
  • Manages cross-functional project teams in developing operations capabilities.
  • Manages and escalates change-management risks among cross-functional partners.
  • Prepares leadership and stakeholder business presentations.
  • Actively solicits input from key stakeholders.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field.
  • 8+ years of industry-specific experience.
  • 3+ years of Operations Strategic/Global level Leadership experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and negotiate with various internal and external personnel.
  • Significant large-scale transfer of capabilities project experience and manufacturing operations experience.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of a strategic roadmap with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Good understanding of global supply chain processes/KPIs and financial/product flow modeling.
  • Excellent prioritization, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience in QSR and ISO medical device standards.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Appropriate computer skills (e-mail, word processing, statistical, spreadsheet and graphing software).
