We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Project Engineer to join our team. As a Senior MSP Project Engineer you will join our team and lead the implementation of client-facing technical projects across the Knoxville, TN area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment, is comfortable working on-site with clients, and has a deep understanding of multi-tenant support, project execution, and modern IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and upgrading systems across a wide range of client environments. This includes servers, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity solutions, and endpoint technologies.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years IT MSP experience including a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on project engineering experience (mandatory).
• Strong experience implementing IT infrastructure projects from design through completion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, AD, and common MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA).
• Solid understanding of CCNA-level networking
• Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong aptitude for time and note entry within a PSA.
• Understanding of predictive and hybrid project methodologies, including roles, responsibilities, and work breakdown structure (WBS)

Nice To Haves

• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, PMI).
• Specific experience with: Microsoft Azure, 365, and SharePoint
• Fortinet firewalls
• Windows Server
• Modern security principals – MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, MDM, MAM
• ConnectWise PSA

Responsibilities

• Function as a hands-on, technical element of client project delivery, including but not limited to: Client onboardings and offboardings, Network installations and migrations, Windows server-to-server or server-to-cloud migrations, Office builds and moves, MDM/MAM + Conditional Access implementation
• Collaborate with project managers and account teams to provide regular updates and create and update documentation.
• Function as an escalation point for resolution of project issues.
• Travel to client sites across Knoxville for installations, assessments, and hands-on technical work.
• Communicate clearly with clients, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor.
