About the position

This is a full-time, commissioned position based in King of Prussia, PA, focused on assisting customers in identifying and securing mortgage loans tailored to their financial circumstances. The role involves cultivating relationships with various referral sources, including realtors, builders, and financial advisors, to generate mortgage loan applications and ensure a steady stream of origination volume.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand referral sources to solicit first mortgages and maintain a continual stream of origination volume.
  • Maintain regular contact with realtors and participate in open house events.
  • Meet with builders on job sites to discuss lending options for clients.
  • Seek opportunities to meet with developers and participate in building and trade shows.
  • Engage in mixers related to real estate to build and forge new relationships.
  • Collect and analyze applicants' financial information to assess their qualifications for loans.
  • Interview applicants to gather required financial information, including income, assets, and credit history.
  • Identify customer needs in relation to available financial products and recommend suitable options.
  • Engage in persuasive sales activities to encourage customers to do business with the company.
  • Obtain and analyze pertinent financial and credit data related to loans originated.
  • Follow up with customers and prospective customers via telephone and email communication.
  • Complete paperwork related to the loans originated and prepare necessary materials to support loan activities.
  • Attend company meetings as necessary and ensure loan originations comply with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • 4 or more years of current residential mortgage lending experience (Required).
  • 4 or more years of established referral sources outside of branch referrals (Required).
  • 4 or more years of proven ability to develop and maintain significant referral sources from contacts and relationships outside the organization (Required).
