Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in the development of ideas and concepts for MES improvements.
• Conduct cross-functional planning sessions and organizational updates.
• Recommend technology improvements or modifications through comprehensive systems analysis.
• Create project proposals outlining business benefits, time frames, funding requirements, and staffing needs.
• Conduct experiments to demonstrate feasibility of MES implementations.
• Lead research and analytical studies to develop designs or specifications for MES implementations.
• Test new technologies or concepts to validate their benefits.
• Review proposals from outside vendors and make informed recommendations.
• Analyze technical and cost data to determine feasibility of MES applications.
• Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate project activities to ensure progress on schedule and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in Engineering plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in Engineering with 1 year of experience, or a High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL.
• Familiarity with MES platforms like Ignition.
• Skills in integrating MES with ERP, SCADA, and PLCs.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting MES-related issues.
• Effective communication skills for training and collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
