About the position
The Senior Mechanical Engineer - Hydropower will lead, design, and manage projects related to hydropower systems, including hydro turbines, dam and water conveyance systems, generator cooling systems, and more. This role involves performing dam safety inspections and designing improvements for various systems, contributing to the company's commitment to sustainable infrastructure and clean energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage new and upgraded projects on hydropower systems.
- Design and oversee hydro turbines, dam and water conveyance systems, and generator cooling systems.
- Perform dam safety inspections and recommend design improvements.
- Manage the design of HVAC systems, spillway gates, and low-level outlets.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in mechanical or systems engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in power generating facilities or related fields preferred.
- Experience managing projects in a utility power plant setting.

- Previous experience in client-facing roles.
