About The Position

The Senior Manager, Social & Influencer Marketing will lead the strategy, execution, and performance of Simple Mills' organic social and influencer marketing programs, helping shape how the brand shows up in culture and connects with consumers across digital channels. This individual will develop integrated social and creator strategies that drive awareness, engagement, trial, and brand affinity, translating business priorities into culturally relevant storytelling and creator partnerships. They will oversee day-to-day management of social and influencer agencies while serving as a key thought partner to cross-functional teams including Brand Marketing, PR, Brand Partnerships, and Paid Media. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, storyteller, relationship builder, and operator. They possess deep expertise in creator culture, social platforms, and performance measurement, with the ability to turn insights into impactful content and partnerships that drive business results. They are deeply attuned to cultural and consumer conversations, and able to translate trends in health, wellness, and sustainability into relevant, social-native storytelling. This role reports to the Senior Director, Integrated Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
  • 6–9 years of experience in social media and influencer marketing strategy and execution (agency or in-house; CPG strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to develop and execute social and influencer strategies across major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.), driving both engagement and measurable performance.
  • Strong fluency in social KPIs and performance analysis, with the ability to translate data into clear actions that improve content and channel effectiveness.
  • Experience leading agency and external partner relationships, including setting direction, providing feedback, and ensuring work delivers against expectations.
  • Ability to translate complex topics (e.g., health, wellness, sustainability) into clear, compelling social content, with strong creative instincts and storytelling ability.
  • Experience working with wellness and / or functional health fields and can successfully navigate brand voice, science, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally (e.g., Brand, PR, Partnerships) to bring integrated campaigns to life.
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong judgment and the ability to move work forward within scope.
  • Working knowledge of paid social and how organic content connects to broader media and influencer efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and refine Simple Mills’ organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn (with Pinterest, YouTube, X, and Threads as secondary platforms).
  • Translate integrated marketing plans into platform-specific strategies, content plans, and success measures, ensuring clarity in what each channel is driving.
  • Develop TikTok Shop strategy and execution in partnership with external partners, ensuring alignment to broader social and business goals.
  • Identify and test opportunities to evolve channel approach, including new formats, tools, and platform capabilities, bringing forward data-informed recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Brand and Integrated Marketing teams to support launches, retail moments, influencers, and key initiatives.
  • Lead and evolve Simple Mills' influencer marketing strategy and execution, ensuring programs align with brand and business objectives while identifying new opportunities across platforms, creator trends, and cultural moments.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of creator partners across nano, micro, macro, celebrity, and expert tiers, cultivating authentic long-term relationships that drive awareness, engagement, trial, and affinity.
  • Oversee influencer campaign development from briefing through execution, creating compelling creative guidance that brings the Simple Mills brand to life through engaging, educational, and culturally relevant content.
  • Lead creator negotiations, contracting, and partnership management, securing favorable terms, usage rights, and paid amplification opportunities in collaboration with legal and external partners.
  • Manage product seeding and gifting programs to creators, tastemakers, celebrities, and brand advocates, tracking relationship development and earned impact.
  • Define influencer KPIs and measurement frameworks, delivering regular performance reporting, actionable insights, and optimization recommendations tied to business outcomes.
  • Manage influencer marketing budgets and investments, optimizing spend and maximizing return on investment against brand priorities.
  • Define and track KPIs across platforms and own overall channel performance with a clear understanding of what is working and where to adjust.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly performance readouts, synthesizing key insights and translating them into actionable recommendations to continuously optimize content, cadence, and channel strategy.
  • Partner with paid media teams to amplify high-performing content and inform boosting strategy.
  • Oversee community engagement in partnership with our social agency, ensuring timely, on-brand interactions with the Simple Mills community (e.g., surprise & delights).
  • Leverage social listening and monitoring to track brand sentiment and identify emerging conversations, informing content and engagement opportunities.
  • Manage day-to-day agency partnership, providing clear direction, feedback, and prioritization.
  • Monitor agency performance against defined scope and KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
