About the position

A Senior Manager of Product and Equipment in Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from design and development to production and quality control, ensuring efficient equipment utilization and optimal product quality, while also strategically managing the equipment assets within a manufacturing facility; requiring a skillset that blends technical expertise in manufacturing processes, deep understanding of product design, strong leadership abilities, and proficiency in data analysis to make informed decisions regarding equipment maintenance and product improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the design and development of new products, managing product lifecycles, and ensuring products meet market needs and quality standards.
  • Overseeing the procurement, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, including preventative maintenance schedules and capital expenditure planning.
  • Analyzing production data to identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and maximize production output while minimizing costs.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the production process, implementing quality checks, and addressing quality issues.
  • Managing a team of engineers, technicians, and production personnel, delegating tasks, and providing leadership and mentorship.
  • Monitoring production costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing budgets for equipment and product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering), or other related fields and 1 year experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • 5 years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering), or other related fields and 5 years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Prior work experience in a role requiring knowledge of specific retail beef cuts.
  • Prior work experience in food manufacturing.
