About The Position

The Senior Manager, Labor Relations serves as a key leader within the Labor Relations function, partnering with the Senior Director to develop, execute, and sustain the company’s labor relations strategy. This role operates with a high degree of independence and professional judgment and is expected to function as the primary deputy to the Senior Director, assuming leadership responsibilities when required. The position plays a critical role in representing the company in complex labor matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, labor campaigns, and union engagement, and carries decision-making authority across assigned initiatives. This role is viewed as a succession-ready leadership position within the Labor Relations organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field
  • 5 years or more of progressive labor relations experience

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Labor Relations to develop and execute enterprise labor relations strategy.
  • Identify and recommend critical labor relations priorities and proactively address emerging risks.
  • Represent the company at the bargaining table, including serving as lead or co-lead negotiator.
  • Speak on behalf of the company during negotiations and labor-management meetings.
  • Serve as designated backup to the Senior Director of Labor Relations.
  • Independently lead labor initiatives and partner with external labor counsel.
  • Lead or co-lead labor campaigns and work with external consultants.
  • Oversee the grievance and arbitration process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Analyze internal and external labor trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Design and implement scalable labor relations processes.
