About the position

The Senior Manager, Education Production and Development at Splunk is responsible for leading a high-performing team focused on the rapid development of learning and training content. This role encompasses overseeing all aspects of media production, including planning, coordination, and execution of learning courses, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, e-learning development, and team management, along with a strategic and hands-on leadership approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire production lifecycle from pre-production planning to post-production and final delivery.
  • Create production schedules, set milestones, and manage timelines for multiple learning content projects.
  • Oversee the media production team to ensure cohesive work towards project goals and foster a collaborative culture.
  • Ensure all media content meets company quality standards and adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with various teams to align production strategies and communicate project progress.
  • Manage the maintenance, procurement, and organization of production equipment and software.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and implement new techniques to enhance production efficiency.
  • Design and implement a scalable content development strategy that aligns with learner needs.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of learning content through feedback and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in media production and learning development, with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading a creative and diverse team, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles, particularly for rapid development.
  • Proven track record of leading successful projects across various media forms.
  • Strong familiarity with production processes and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools like Articulate 360 and Captivate.
  • Experience managing content in LMS platforms like Mindtickle and Cornerstone.
  • Ability to work closely with SMEs and curriculum designers to align content with strategic goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, educational technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications in instructional design or project management.
