With safety at the forefront of our minds, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. Our factory also does its part for the environment by conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, maintaining zero waste for disposal, and more. This plant's location is situated along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta—an area that nearly 6 million residents and many of our associates call home. As a Senior Maintenance Coordinator (Receiving and Purchasing), you will maintain the storeroom functions as it pertains to issuing spare parts and tools, receiving parts, and maintaining and administering inventories with the SAP system. You will be responsible for purchasing any necessary parts, equipment, and supplies to support the Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse and Processing areas of the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase necessary parts, equipment, and supplies to support the Maintenance, Engineering, Q.A., Warehouse & Processing department
  • Responsible for storeroom inventory and enabling the maintenance department to perform their functions promptly and efficiently
  • Process purchase and work orders and deliver to Accounting department
  • Maintain continuous inventory records of all parts transaction and work with Maintenance Leadership Team to remove inactive parts, overstocks, and parts associated with equipment no longer in use
  • Maintain good business relationships with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and delivery of materials
  • Follow up on any price discrepancies and advise the financial department
  • Operate department computer system, including inventory material receipts, data entry and retrieval, updates, descriptions, credit returns, and routine issue of parts in inventory

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 2+ years of ordering, purchasing, data entry, inventory & budgetary management experience in a maintenance, manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
