We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to build the next generation of automation and validation systems that keep our vast ecosystem of 3D content world-class. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will lead the development of state-of-the-art ML models. You will focus on building ML models and systems designed for 3D Avatar Validation—developing automated ways to detect schema compliance and geometry based exploits, measure quality, detect defects, and ensure that every piece of avatar content (from heads and bodies to clothing and animations) meets our rigorous standards before it reaches hundreds of millions of users.

Requirements

  • Education: A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
  • Advanced ML Expertise: Deep knowledge of Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and ML frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Strong 3D Graphics Foundation: Expert-level understanding of 3D math/geometry, rigging, and animation principles.
  • Software Engineering Excellence: Strong programming skills in Python and a proven track record in complex software design and system architecture.
  • Analytical Mindset: You enjoy quantifying "quality" through data and solving ambiguous, complex technical challenges.
  • A Collaborative Leader: You thrive in cross-functional environments and can mentor junior engineers while working with artists and platform owners.
  • Mission-Driven: You are passionate about building a safe, high-quality, and civil metaverse.
  • A Proven Problem Solver: You are resourceful and have a history of delivering 0-to-1 technical solutions for complex engineering problems.

  • Previous high-impact projects involving training ML models with 3D data (point clouds, meshes) or Large Language Models (LLMs).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Technical Strategy: Design and implement large-scale ML systems for 2D and 3D content understanding, and quality measurement.
  • Architect Automated Validation: Build robust systems to analyze 3D geometry, skinning weights, rigging structures, and animation data.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work across the "Avatar Stack," collaborating with senior engineers and artists to translate complex quality requirements into scalable ML solutions.
  • Develop Data Pipelines: Design and maintain sophisticated pipelines for large-scale data collection and model training involving complex 3D assets like meshes, textures and animations.
  • Innovate: Stay at the forefront of Computer Vision and 3D Graphics research to keep our validation tools and automated setup systems cutting-edge.
