About the position

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer - Java/AWS/React at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's AI/ML & Data Platforms Fusion Analytics team, you will collaborate in an agile environment to enhance and develop technology products. Your focus will be on creating and delivering high-quality products that are secure, stable, and scalable. This role provides exposure to cutting-edge technology, including applications that offer clients extensive and customizable portfolio analytics.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Java server-side development.
• Financial industry experience.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and ideally React front end development.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• Practical cloud-native experience, ideally with AWS.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of finance and financial instruments.
• Working knowledge of performance or risk analytics.
