About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in support of the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing located at Eglin AFB, FL.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Requires an Active Secret, and the ability to obtain a TS clearance. US Citizenship Required.
  • Must meet requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level II and Information Assurance Manager Level II within 6 months of the date of hire
  • 10 years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years related Cybersecurity experience
  • Prior roles such as System Administrator, Cyber surety Technician, or ISSO
  • Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level II and Information Assurance Manager I
  • Eligible for TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Eligible for access to Special Access Program Information
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in meeting their duties and responsibilities
  • Verify and track Guest System authorization packages in preparation for entry to facility
  • Ensure approved procedures are in place for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying various types of hardware and media
  • Notify the ISSM and customer when changes occur that might affect the authorization determination of the information system(s)
  • Conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization package
  • Coordinate any changes or modifications to facility with the ISSM and Special Security Office (SSO) prior to changes
  • Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly
  • Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals
  • Execute the cyber security portion of the self-inspection, to include providing security coordination and review of all system assessment plans
  • Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with the implementation of the countermeasures for them
  • Client level touch maintenance for NIPR and SIPR clients within the facility
  • Assists TEMPEST managers with enforcing countermeasures
  • Alternate COMSEC Manager
