In this position as Senior Grant Accountant, you will serve in a mission-critical financial role, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance, reporting, and financial stewardship of restricted and unrestricted grant funds that power The Family Place's life-saving services. You'll provide high-level financial support throughout the grant lifecycle, from post-award accounting through closeout, working collaboratively across Finance, Programs, Development, and external funders to maximize the impact of every grant dollar. Oversee financial management of federal, state, and private foundation grants, tracking expenditures and ensuring compliance with funder requirements and 2 CFR Uniform Guidance. You'll prepare timely financial reports for stakeholders and funders, monitor grant budgets to ensure expenses are allowable and properly coded, serve as agency liaison with government funding sources, and exercise independent authority to approve expenditures and develop budget recommendations. Lead grant-related accounting operations including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and support for month-end and year-end close processes, while maintaining audit-ready documentation for internal and external audits including the annual Single Audit. If you're an experienced grant accountant with deep knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting and federal grant compliance, strong analytical skills, and passion for using your financial expertise to protect and maximize resources that serve survivors of domestic violence, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact through accounting excellence.
