About the position

The Senior Associate, Payroll is responsible for bi-monthly payroll processing, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and implementing best practices. This role serves as the primary contact for payroll matters, maintaining the integrity of payroll data and collaborating with HR and Finance to enhance payroll efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with colleagues in HR and Finance to identify opportunities for payroll efficiencies and process simplification.
  • Manage the administration of the payroll processing system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required information.
  • Responsible for all aspects of payroll processing for the UK, Germany, and Netherlands.
  • Act as the primary liaison with SGWI regarding EMEA payrolls.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to payroll.
  • Collaborate with UK Finance to streamline authority and employee payments.
  • Assist UK Finance in managing reporting for short-term business visitors and tax assistance for employee relocations.
  • Review and reconcile payroll tax filings and assist in responding to tax authority inquiries.
  • Monitor information sent to HRMC by SGWI and reports sent to the pension provider.
  • Set up and process benefits in kind reporting and annual P11Ds.
  • Manage other required annual tax documents and P45s.
  • Establish and document local payroll processes and timelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of current country-specific payroll and tax laws.
  • Assist with Australia payroll implementation.
  • Support special projects for Human Resources on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of payroll experience in a global organization
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating team efforts and managing vendor relations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data from various sources
  • Knowledge of current payroll government regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and data accuracy when handling employee information
  • Proficiency in Workday Payroll and experience with other payroll processing systems
  • Advanced experience with Excel and working proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Chartered Institute for Payroll Professional (CIPP) designation
