Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst’s primary focus will be to partner with business leaders across the organization to analyze business performance and provide actionable insights to help drive organizational strategy. This role is expected to be a strategic partner that supports decision-making at the executive management, business unit management, and cost center management level. The Sr. Financial Analyst must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, organized, and deadline driven.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 2+ years of Corporate Finance experience
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience
  • Working knowledge of financial strategies
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly forecasting process for all elements of the income statement for assigned Business Unit (Sales, COGS, OPEX, AEBITDA).
  • Analyze historical capital sales deal structure; evaluate erosion, opportunities for growth, recurring revenues & support costs, and impacts across other business units.
  • Supports senior leadership in Financial Statement Analysis by responding to inquiry on summary financials, assembling detailed analysis of journal entry and vendor detail, and coordinating with various stakeholders to evaluate business trends that impact total company financial performance
  • Lead annual budget bottoms-up build for Business Unit, with documented requests for OPEX, CAPEX, & headcount for the upcoming year. Reconcile build against Top-down budget and communicate final approvals to cost center owners.
  • Meet with department leads throughout the year to review spend against budget and evaluate any variances to plan.
  • Partners with vendors and internal parties to consolidate detail for core operation topics (T&E spend, training costs, supplies expense, repair cost, freight, etc.). Quantify potential cost savings opportunities, assess disruption risks, & lead vendor consolidation RFPs.
  • Evaluates business changes presented by Business Unit leaders to determine Discounted Cash Flow, Return on Invested Capital, Cash outlay requirements, and anticipated Internal Rate of Return. Based on models created, advise leaders from a Finance perspective on the viability and profitability of proposed investments
  • Reviews Capital Expenditure plans to validate that proposed expenditures align with total company targets
  • Determines accountable parties for key areas of spend identified and creates a system of tracking spend, leveraging Microsoft Power BI
  • Trains Business leadership on managing core areas of spend and drives organization accountability and understanding of financial results
  • Assists in preparation of monthly executive management and quarterly Board of Director presentation decks for both actual and forecast results
  • Assists in driving operational improvements and supports high visibility projects as needed
  • Proactively challenge the status quo and investigate issues independently and as a team
