About the position

Methode Electronics is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the finance function for the Commercial Vehicle Division. This high-impact role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who will serve as a trusted business partner to the Business Unit Vice President and leadership team. The Senior Finance Manager will drive value creation, support growth initiatives, and enhance financial systems and processes to elevate the division's financial performance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Business Unit Vice President, providing data-driven financial insights to support key business decisions.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize financial models and tools to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead the annual operating plan, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance division performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess cost structures, profitability drivers, and operational efficiencies to maximize value creation.
  • Provide timely and actionable financial reporting to measure business performance, highlight key variances, and drive improvements.
  • Ensure disciplined resource allocation for capital and human resources, supporting profitable growth in the Commercial Vehicle market.
  • Maintain rigorous financial controls and compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to Methode's policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance where applicable.
  • Optimize ERP system utilization to improve financial data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Implement and oversee cost accounting, margin analysis, and working capital management strategies to enhance financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • CPA or CMA designation.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and cost accounting expertise, with the ability to simplify complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., OneStream) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI); basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • High energy, results-oriented, and adaptable, with a track record of driving operational excellence.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%).
