About the position

The Senior Field Sales Account Executive at CEVA Logistics is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, establishing relationships with new customers, and driving the entire sales cycle from initial engagement to closed sales. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong sales background, particularly in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, and involves significant travel to meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with them.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales.
  • Prospect for potential customers using direct and indirect methods.
  • Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods.
  • Give sales presentations and submit activity and results reports to leadership.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services, and operations offered by the company.
  • Work closely with station and operations managers to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Schedule and conduct a pre-determined number of face-to-face sales calls as directed by management.
  • Input sales call information into the sales data system and provide sales reports as directed.
  • Maintain a pre-determined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts.
  • Meet or exceed sales threshold/quota as defined by the company.
  • Work cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a team-selling environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience in Outside Business to Business (B2B) Sales with a history of sales achievements in a base plus commission environment.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and desire to sell, particularly in Freight Forwarding/Logistics.
  • Strong understanding of Freight Forwarding/Logistics with proven experience selling these services.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to sales and service issues.
  • Effective planning and organization skills to schedule appointments and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Military experience with demonstrated aptitude and desire to sell.
  • Experience closing sales at the executive level.
