About The Position

Senior Facilities Equipment is critical to manufacturing process. Senior Facilities Engineer must ensure reliability and redundancy of utility systems for electricity, compressed air, HVAC, and water while monitoring utility costs.

Requirements

  • Special equipment knowledge (i.e. Air compressors, pumps, chillers, HVAC, water treatment, alarm systems, etc.).
  • Industrial electronics.
  • PLC programming.
  • Hydraulic pneumatic and lubrication systems.
  • Mechanical reasoning skills.
  • High level math skill.
  • Equipment drawing interpretation.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Computer skills - Excel, Word, Auto CAD.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Work without close supervision.
  • Safety oriented.
  • Physical agility to access equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed.
  • Ability to work in plant environment.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. on occasion.
  • Ability to deal with stress.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Responsibility for providing internal and external customer service.
  • Ability to work overtime is an essential function of the position.
  • B.S. in Engineering or B.A. degree.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in job related field.
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing.
  • Capital procurement experience and grooming for operation.
  • Plant facility equipment troubleshooting experience (air compressors, HVAC, chillers, air handlers, alarm systems, electrical switchgear etc.).
  • Equipment PM and maintenance experience.
  • Electrical and PLC programming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides engineering services to assigned area of complexity.
  • Manages new plant construction and outside contractors.
  • Supervises outside contractors performing facility services.
  • Analyses process / equipment problems for long term solutions.
  • Continuously improves assigned area processes.
  • Accesses spare part problems and makes appropriate changes.
  • Grooms new equipment to meet production and quality requirements.
  • Performs equipment capability studies for facility equipment.
  • Determines new equipment layout for approval.
  • Prepares detailed equipment specifications for facility.
  • Manages new capital purchase of facility equipment.
  • Create engineering reports as required for process development or troubleshooting.
  • Energy consumption analysis / efficiency improvement.
  • • Evaluate and maintain air quality.
  • Performs housekeeping duties as required.
  • Project administration for process changes (i.e. new products, etc.).
  • Prepares facility capital and expense budget for manager.
  • Other jobs as assigned by manager.
