About the position

The Senior Fabricator position at Express Employment involves a dual role of purchasing and hands-on fabrication within a small fabrication shop in Cleveland, OH. Responsibilities

• Collect all materials from resources available.
• Enter all pertinent information related to the job into the software system.
• Construct and relay all gathered information to production.
• Vet all vendors and services and make appropriate selections.
• Distribute requests for quotes regarding job materials and services.
• Carefully select appropriate vendors and follow bid reviews.
• Negotiate fair pricing and terms per project.
• Prepare purchase orders.
• Oversee and coordinate the delivery process of services and materials.
• Manage and approve invoices.
• Maintain good working relationships with vendors.
• Assist and resolve any arising issues.
• Meet with vendors to determine capability or perform audits.
• Maintain accurate material inventory.

Requirements

• Well versed in metal fabrication processes and techniques.
• PC literate and able to use ERP systems.
• Familiar with CAD.
• Familiar with ISO 900:18 standards.
• Familiar with ASM, AWS, and ASME standards.
• Prior experience and knowledge in fabrication.
