About the position

The Senior ERP Application Analyst at Garmin is responsible for gathering and documenting detailed requirements for business projects, determining solution designs, and supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite applications. This role involves evaluating new technologies, configuring and testing applications, and providing reliable solutions to business needs. The analyst will also mentor less experienced team members and participate in project definition activities.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new technologies for improving existing functions and suggest design options.
  • Configure, test, implement, and support Oracle eBusiness Suite applications and other business applications.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Utilize troubleshooting and research tools to complete complex troubleshooting tasks.
  • Identify interdependencies in programs and develop comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Provide suggestions to improve processes and evaluate new technologies for business needs.
  • Understand business impacts of issues related to IT solutions.
  • Assist with data migration and data quality activities.
  • Demonstrate experience with project work and change management in dynamic environments.
  • Prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Support application maintenance activities including patching and versioning updates.
  • Participate in incident management and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with team members and business clients, both co-located and remote.
  • Plan small to medium-sized projects or tasks and contribute to feasibility assessments.
  • Mentor less experienced Application Analysts.
  • Participate in project definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent academic performance (GPA >= 3.0).
  • Mastery of project management principles and adaptability to changing business needs.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in successful implementation of technology solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite modules such as Financials, Discrete Manufacturing, Supply Chain, CRM, and Human Resources.
  • Experience testing custom applications and Oracle patches.
  • Experience with PL/SQL and Oracle application tools.
  • Experience with Oracle Demantra, Oracle AgilePLM, BluJay Parcel, and E2Open Trade Automation applications.
  • Quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization.
