About the position

We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Project Manager to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. This position is ideal for an experienced Environmental Compliance professional with a minimum of seven years in the field, who is eager to engage with emerging technologies and continue their professional development. The role involves preparing environmental compliance reports in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, including RCRA, CAA, CWA, and EPCRA. The Senior Environmental Compliance Project Manager will be responsible for conducting periodic travel to client locations across the U.S. to perform environmental compliance audits and assist clients with specific compliance tasks. Key responsibilities include preparing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and hazardous waste contingency plans (HWCPSs). Additionally, the role involves preparing environmental permit applications for air emissions, stormwater discharges, and wastewater discharges, while managing projects and mentoring junior staff. Ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken to address non-conformance at client sites is also a critical aspect of this position. The successful candidate will assist with labor and material estimates and proposals, and in some cases, provide clients with project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work related to environmental regulatory compliance and permitting. Responsibilities

  • Preparing environmental compliance reports by local, state, and federal requirements (e.g., RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA)
  • Conducting periodic travel to client locations throughout the U.S. to perform environmental compliance audits or assist clients with specific environmental compliance tasks
  • Preparing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and hazardous waste contingency plans (HWCPSs)
  • Preparing environmental permit applications for air emissions, stormwater discharges, and wastewater discharges
  • Managing projects while mentoring junior-level staff
  • Ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken to address non-conformance at client sites
  • Assisting with labor/material estimates and proposals
  • Providing clients with project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work associated with environmental regulatory compliance and permitting.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a BS in environmental science, engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of seven years experience in the environmental field
  • Strong consulting and problem-solving skills are required

Nice-to-haves

  • Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred
  • Experience in SPCC requirements
  • Experience in EPCRA 312 and 313 reporting
  • Experience in hazardous waste requirements
  • Experience in air emission source permitting
  • Experience in stormwater/wastewater (NPDES) permitting
  • Experience in compliance auditing
