About the position

As a Senior Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) Consultant at Cambia, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the decision-making, planning, and prioritization processes within the organization. Your primary focus will be to assist Cambia's leadership in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could potentially hinder the company's ability to achieve its strategic objectives and long-term goals. You will be part of a dedicated team that is committed to creating a person-focused and economically sustainable health care system, ensuring that the organization's mission is upheld every day. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in risk management to provide guidance and recommendations on various aspects of the ERM framework, including measure selection, scorecard development, and alignment of departmental objectives. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering training materials on risk assessment methods and systems, ensuring that Cambia's leadership and employees are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of risk management. Your role will involve drafting presentations for senior leadership and the board of directors, as well as maintaining the ERM framework of policies and operating procedures. You will engage with business leaders to inform them about the ERM mission, solicit their input on risk issues, and evaluate the severity and potential remediation measures for identified risks. Additionally, you will serve as a member of the core team responsible for drafting the Company's Own Risk and Solvency annual report, contributing to the overall governance and reporting frameworks that guide Cambia's risk management efforts. Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance, recommendations, and support with respect to measure selection, definition, targets, scorecard development, and alignment of departmental objectives.
  • Develops and delivers training job aids and tutorials on risk assessment methods and systems for Cambia Health Solutions' leadership and employees.
  • Drafts presentations to senior leadership and the board of directors, assisting the Assistant Director as needed in the delivery of those presentations.
  • Develops and maintains the ERM framework of policies and operating procedures.
  • Interviews business leaders to inform them of the ERM mission and solicit their input on their business line risk issues along with estimates of severity of the risk and potential remediation measures.
  • Evaluates issues and risks of various severity, complexity, and controls to ensure items are in compliance with risk-based policies, procedures, and controls, and related governance and reporting frameworks.
  • Serves as a member on the core team responsible for drafting the Company's Own Risk and Solvency annual report.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, audit, compliance, or related discipline.
  • 6-8 years' experience in risk management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with governance, risk management, and compliance software is preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive outcomes on a variety of activities utilizing sound judgement and creative approaches and solutions.
  • Demonstrated competency with scorecard planning concepts and execution.
  • Demonstrated competency with risk management concepts, identification, and mitigation.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels in the organization, including the C-suite.
  • Ability to partner with other functions to assess organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of external environment impacting the business.
  • Ability to work with business leaders to align business unit plans and allocate resources to corporate strategies and risks.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Must possess critical thinking skills to analyze issues and risks, conduct root cause analyses, and determine effectiveness of issue remediation plans.
