About the position

The Senior Director, West Thought Leader Liaison for Gastroenterology at Lilly is a strategic field-based role focused on engaging thought leaders and facilitating peer-to-peer education within the Gastroenterology portfolio. This position involves collaboration with internal teams and external thought leaders to develop and implement educational strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The role requires strong analytical skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to foster relationships with healthcare professionals to enhance the understanding and promotion of Lilly's GI products.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and support 30-40 Gastroenterology Thought Leaders (TLs) within a specified geographic area.
  • Evaluate, coach, and support speakers by interacting with each faculty member at least 6 times a year.
  • Conduct annual assessments of faculty size and ensure a diverse faculty to meet audience needs.
  • Provide annual brand and compliance training for all speakers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for thought leader engagement across various departments.
  • Attend key regional and national GI Congresses to assess opportunities and provide feedback to brand teams.
  • Create partnerships with state and national alliances within the defined region.
  • Capture insights and provide input into brand teams to enhance customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 years of industry experience, preferably in Gastroenterology
  • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

  • Demonstrated leadership and customer-facing results
  • Experience working with thought leaders
  • Preferred advanced graduate degree (PhD, MPH, PharmD, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • High clinical aptitude for complex biologic discussions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Expertise with US affiliate marketing materials approval processes.
