About the position

The Senior Director, Artist Liaison at Universal Music Group will play a pivotal role in collaborating with artists, clients, and label partners to deliver comprehensive support across various categories. This position requires a dynamic individual who can integrate seamlessly into the workflow of label partners, ensuring effective communication and execution of campaigns and strategies globally. The Senior Director will work closely with the Brand Management Team and other departments to enhance synergy and foster innovation, while also monitoring business metrics to optimize product lines and maximize commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with artists, clients, and label partners to deliver full-service support.
  • Work with Brand Management, Label Marketing, and Direct to Consumer Teams to set long-term goals for clients.
  • Organize and coordinate strategies with label partners for shared roster and key events.
  • Enhance collaboration and synergy between teams for efficient execution of campaigns.
  • Educate and improve processes and workflows to foster a culture of learning and growth.
  • Communicate planning and release calendars to ensure alignment among departments.
  • Execute campaigns and strategies to the highest standards globally.
  • Encourage creative contributions and welcome fresh ideas to enhance creative output.
  • Monitor and analyze business metrics to optimize product lines and capitalize on market trends.
  • Develop tailored merchandising strategies with artists and management to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and direct-to-consumer teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the development of client presentation materials that reflect the brand's identity and mission.
  • Represent the company in meetings, shows, and calls with management and bands/brands.
  • Oversee special projects such as pop-up shops and special events.
  • Create and design brand presentations for clients and collaboration opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10-15 years in brand management, brand building, and marketing.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience in apparel, music, and/or eCommerce preferred.
  • Great communication skills, both written and oral, in interpersonal and group settings.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge and personal fan of contemporary and urban music.
  • Deep awareness of latest fashion trends, particularly streetwear and urban fashion.
  • Understanding of launching e-commerce product campaigns, including platforms like Shopify.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to facilitate product development from inception to finished product.
