About the position

The Senior Demand Leader at GE Aerospace is responsible for managing the Demand Signal for the Avionics business. This role involves collaboration across various functions including finance, commercial operations, and supply chain to ensure alignment in demand planning activities. The position plays a critical role in driving demand recognition within the Sales and Operations Planning Process, ensuring that the organization meets its business objectives effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Demand Signal Segment of Sales and Operation Planning by ensuring collaboration with Material Planning and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Compile and analyze data for periodic Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) reviews to highlight discrepancies and drive resolution.
  • Direct improvement activities using action plans and problem-solving methodologies to enhance key performance indicators.
  • Utilize Salesforce to gain insights into the demand signal across product lines and work closely with Program Management.
  • Manage the Risk Sales Order (RSO) workflow process and provide support to Program Managers.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand planning processes and forecast accuracy.
  • Schedule and lead demand meetings to gather inputs for the demand plan and ensure accountability.
  • Monitor and report changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies to align the demand plan with business goals.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and identify opportunities to streamline costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (technical degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of supply chain, program, or project management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified in Planning & Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Background in Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven history of business and problem-solving acumen.
