Senior Data Scientist Consultant (Python, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, FTE, Onsite)
About The Position
NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Data Scientist Consultant to join their team. This role involves conducting independent reviews and testing of quantitative models, assessing models for conceptual soundness and data limitations, ensuring compliance with internal MRM frameworks and regulatory mandates, providing constructive feedback to model developers, and authoring comprehensive validation reports. The position requires strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and machine learning libraries, as well as a deep understanding of statistical modeling and financial regulations. The consultant will also be responsible for stakeholder communication and explaining complex quantitative risks to non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Strong coding skills in languages like Python, and SQL.
- Experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, probability, and advanced mathematical concepts.
- Understanding of financial regulations (e.g., SR 11-7, CECL, CCAR) if working in banking.
- Excellent technical writing and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex quantitative risks to non-technical business partners and legal/compliance teams.
- Must reside in the US.
- 7+ overall years of experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in data science, risk management, or quantitative analysis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent reviews and testing of quantitative models, including design approach, sampling approach, sensitivity analysis, and robustness checks.
- Assess models for conceptual soundness, data limitations, and quantitative biases (e.g., fairness and ethical AI standards).
- Ensure all modeling lifecycles align with internal MRM frameworks and regulatory mandates.
- Provide constructive, actionable feedback and challenges to model developers regarding model design and limitations.
- Author comprehensive validation reports and maintain documentation for audit purposes and senior management review.
