About the position
ASRC Federal is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to support an FBI contract in a hybrid work environment. The role involves implementing, integrating, and supporting computer systems in mission-critical response operations, focusing on optimizing statistical efficiency and data analysis to improve operational performance while adhering to Bureau policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and utilize data systems and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency.
- Analyze, identify, and assess data attributes using statistical software packages; develop recommendations to improve operational performance.
- Perform statistical analysis and research in support of investigative projects.
- Prepare reports, materials, and documentation associated with information gathering.
- Interpret and analyze data collected from various sources using exploratory and statistical techniques.
- Construct tailored data visualizations to assist in understanding analytic results.
- Use advanced mathematical methodologies and algorithms to innovate data analysis techniques and interpret trends in complex data sets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
- Experience with AI, statistical analysis, data modeling, and visualization.
- Technical expertise in data analysis, manipulation, cleansing, and segmentation techniques.
- Professional competence in scientific methods of analysis and research design.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch and relational databases (MySQL, SQLite, Postgres, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python for data handling and fluency with SQL and Stored Procedures.
- Experience with ETL processes and graph databases (such as Neo4j).
