About the position

The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst at SimVentions, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the security of cutting-edge systems through the execution of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes. This role involves crafting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, conducting system testing, and performing continuous monitoring tasks. The position emphasizes collaboration and communication with various security personnel to maintain and update system authorizations, all while supporting the company's commitment to innovation and employee growth.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for various systems using the USMC's Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
  • Perform authorization Package Control Reviews
  • Conduct Self-Assessment Reviews
  • Provide final Authorization Package Reviews prior to Authorization Recommendation
  • Review Authorization Package supporting artifacts
  • Perform ACAS Scans and STIG Checklists
  • Create Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Develop System Security Plan
  • Develop Configuration Management Plan
  • Develop Contingency Plan and Contingency Plan Test Reports
  • Create Information Security Continuous Monitoring Strategies
  • Develop other supporting cybersecurity documentation as necessary
  • Communicate and collaborate with Information System Security Managers, Engineers, and Security Control Assessor - Analysts to update system authorization packages
  • Collaborate with USMC Security Control Assessor - Analysts during review of authorization packages to verify documentation meets requirements for authorization recommendation submissions

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity documentation and compliance

Nice-to-haves

  • CASP, Security +, or CISSP certifications
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps
