About the position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Developer to provide TS/SCI C/C++ software development for modules that manipulate pointers, memory structures, and registers using low-level embedded systems techniques. The role involves expert support in research and development of software designed to exploit vulnerabilities of adversary technology, algorithm development, script writing, and software utility development. The developer will engage in software analysis, architecture, engineering, and integration services, adhering to modern software development methodologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide TS/SCI C/C++ software development of modules that manipulate pointers, memory structures, and registers.
• Support research and development of software designed to exploit vulnerabilities of adversary technology.
• Engage in algorithm development, script writing, and software utility development.
• Perform software analysis, architecture, engineering, and integration services at various levels.
• Implement Cyberspace Operations capabilities through software engineering support.
• Adhere to open standards and modern software development methodologies.
• Provide technical reports, white papers, and documentation of software engineering activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA, or 6 years with an MS/MA, or 3 years with a PhD.
• Experience supporting CNO development and C/C++ development on UNIX platforms, preferably Linux.
• Low-level operating systems experience with a Linux background.
• Experience in CNO operational crypto/blockchain and exploit development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and RUST programming languages.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of experience in software development, testing, and deployment.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of operational methodologies employed by USCYBERCOM and MARFORCYBER Cyber Mission Force capability development teams.
