Senior Crypto Test Engineer Administrator
About The Position
NKI is experiencing rapid growth, and we're looking for a full-time Senior Crypto Test Engineer Administrator to join our team and support this exciting expansion. The Crypto Test Engineer Administrator will provide security and functional testing for cryptographic network systems. This is an exciting position which will introduce networking professionals to cutting edge networks and cryptographic systems. We are looking for a San Diego-based Crypto Test Engineer Administrator to join our team at NKI. This is a 100% onsite, full-time position following a 9/80 schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with Networking (Basic routing, use of Cisco IOS, knowledge of VPNs)
- Experience Administering Linux / CentOS (RHCSA preferred)
- Experience Configuring/managing cryptographic devices
- Experience with Key management systems/PKI concepts
- Experience with VPN tunneling, SSH
- Experience with Monitoring tools and their implementation (e.g., Snort)
- U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Government Crypto devices.
- Security Certifications (CISSP, CompTIA+, Security+).
Responsibilities
- Perform configuration and set up of cryptographic devices in a variety of network systems and environments
- Perform functional and performance testing of devices to determine suitability with operational military capabilities
- Develop test reports
- Answer technical queries and assist Navy users
- Create/Maintain documentation of system configuration
