About The Position

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Counsel, Privacy & AI Governance to lead its global privacy and AI governance initiatives. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role is central to shaping and operationalizing the company’s privacy program and responsible AI frameworks as Applied Intuition scales its impact across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture sectors. The Senior Counsel will serve as a key legal partner to Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, and Go-to-Market teams, advising on GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, cross-border data transfers, and privacy impact assessments. This leader will develop and implement policies and processes to ensure compliance with the EU AI Act and other emerging regulations, while building the data governance infrastructure required for global growth. Responsibilities include managing engagement with regulators and standards bodies, conducting privacy and AI impact assessments, supporting commercial transactions, and maintaining robust data mapping and vendor diligence processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of privacy and data protection experience.
• Deep expertise in GDPR and CCPA/CPRA compliance.
• Strong background in AI regulatory requirements and data governance within technology environments.
