About the position

As Senior Copywriter, you'll play a key role as SmartRent's go-to writer for creating copy that converts prospects into leads. Key responsibilities will include creating compelling content that helps to generate increased marketing qualified leads, building SmartRent's sales pipeline. You'll also serve as a trusted partner to SmartRent's internal teams, collaborating on content needs that further the Company's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Turn data into stories that sell and generate qualified leads across multiple channels.
  • Create eye-catching advertisements that stop scrollers in their tracks.
  • Design scripts that transform complex tech into compelling narratives.
  • Produce memorable collateral for events that leaves a lasting impact.
  • Develop strategic email content that guides potential customers through the sales funnel.
  • Write web content so persuasive that it encourages users to click the 'demo' button.
  • Create engaging newsletter content that subscribers look forward to receiving.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance cross-departmental communication.
  • Translate complex technological concepts into clear language for a broader audience.
  • Work with digital marketing, demand gen, design, and product marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Apply A/B testing and use data to improve copy effectiveness.
  • Develop content that builds brand authority and trust with B2B audiences.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of B2B copywriting experience, preferably with a focus on technology or SaaS.
  • Proven track record of creating high-converting marketing campaigns.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating professional copywriting across multiple formats.
  • Deep understanding of marketing funnels and conversion optimization.
  • Solid grasp of B2B buyer journey and sales cycles.
  • Ability to transform positioning statements into compelling benefits.
  • Strong collaborative skills working across multiple teams.
  • Excellent project management skills with consistent deadline delivery.
  • Driven by results.
  • Experience in performance tracking.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of PropTech, smart home technology, or multifamily industry.
  • Proficient in writing for SEO.
  • Experience writing for SaaS or IoT.
  • Understanding of how multifamily properties work.
  • Familiarity with or experience using Hive project management.
  • Knowledge of HubSpot.
  • Experience using Sanity.
