About the position

The Senior Consultant II: Public Sector - Compensation role at Gallagher Benefit Services involves providing expert consulting services in compensation and classification for clients primarily in the public sector and higher education. The consultant will lead multiple projects, manage client relationships, and advise on strategic business objectives related to employee pay and rewards programs. This fully remote position requires strong leadership and project management skills, along with a deep understanding of compensation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on the design and implementation of employee classification, pay and rewards program solutions.
  • Planning, scoping, budgeting, resourcing, and leading multiple complex projects.
  • Acting as the primary interface with clients, managing day-to-day relationships and advising activities.
  • Providing technical advice and counsel on employee classification, pay, and rewards issues.
  • Collaborating on RFP responses, creating proposals, and presenting to potential clients.
  • Making verbal presentations to clients and leadership on study processes and findings.
  • Gathering and analyzing data, reviewing work products of analysts before submission to senior consultants.
  • Developing and presenting final reports to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the public sector or higher education in compensation or related fields.
  • Specific experience in compensation and classification or total rewards.
