About the position

The Senior Consultant - Alternative Investments role at Capco involves guiding the development of systems that provide alternative assets to clients. The position requires a deep understanding of alternative assets and portfolio management, along with strong business analysis skills to create requirements and oversee project execution.

Responsibilities

• Write user stories for alternative asset platform features
• Partner with stakeholders across business units to develop analyses and documentation
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with all stakeholders, providing senior leadership with monthly status reports
• Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements
• Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver business requirements and documentation

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in a business analyst or technical role within a financial institution
• Knowledge of alternative assets (real estate, private equity, private credit)
• Understanding of back-office operations (portfolio management/trading/compliance systems)
• Proven analytical abilities
• Strong familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience in generating process documentation and reports
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science or finance with a strong understanding of technology
• Strong working knowledge of other Microsoft applications, including Visio
• Proven ability to manage projects and user testing
• Extensive experience with data visualization
• Technical writing (user stories, functional requirements, etc)
