The Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP) is responsible for bringing Amtrak stations into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. ADASP implements nationwide design and construction of infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak’s intercity rail transportation system. This position will be part of a Joint Venture (JV) (AECOM & Jacobs) that provides staff and services to Amtrak. The Senior Construction Contracting Official, within the procurement team, will work to establish strategic contracts for construction, engineering, or related services to support our internal stakeholders as well as development of strategic procurement efforts. This position is accountable for cost-effective life-cycle management (strategic sourcing, contracting and supplier relationship management) of highly complex and possibly critical or strategic commercial categories or groups of categories and associated subcontracting where applicable. Responsibilities will also include managing key commercial relationships, developing and implementing subcontracting types and strategies, seeking out qualified supplier firms, performing subcontractor qualifications, negotiations, award and administration of engineering or construction contracts.
