About The Position

Boeing Government Security is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Communications Security (COMSEC) Specialist to join their team in Tukwila, WA. You will play a critical role in protecting government, company, and third-party information while leading internal security controls, administrative inquiries, personnel and physical security processes, and security awareness efforts.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program such that 5 year updates are no longer required
  • 5+ years of experience working with COMSEC materials
  • Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Certification
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action
  • Conduct Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Assist less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls and Administrative Inquiries
  • Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs
  • Lead and perform Personnel Security team and/or process (work with databases, review files, conduct interviews, submit to customers and schedule briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements
  • Conduct security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Perform Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Perform Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
  • Participate, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams
