About The Position

This role is responsible for daily account servicing and client advisement needs, including handling client and insurance company inquiries, resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues, and maintaining accurate account information. The position involves processing endorsements, audits, certificates of insurance, and auto ID cards. A key aspect of the role is cultivating and maintaining excellent communication and relationships with clients and insurance carriers, interacting professionally via email, phone, and in-person. The Senior Commercial Client Advisor will develop remarketing strategies, manage the renewal process for their book of business, and participate in client meetings to review insurance strategies. Additionally, the role involves assisting with onboarding and training new associates, serving as a subject matter expert, and participating in cross-selling new lines of coverage or services. The position also requires following up on accounts receivable and attending education classes to expand technical coverage knowledge.

  • Minimum 5 years of similar or related experience.
  • Property and Casualty license required for state of business and must fulfill continuing education requirement to retain license.

Responsibilities

  • Handle client and insurance company inquiries.
  • Resolve coverage and premium discrepancy issues.
  • Maintain accurate account information in the agency management system.
  • Process endorsements, audits, certificates of insurance, and auto ID cards.
  • Cultivate and maintain excellent communication and relationships with clients and insurance carriers.
  • Interact professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Develop remarketing strategy in accordance with client servicing standards and market changes.
  • Manage the renewal process on assigned book of business, including preparation of pre-renewal summary, creating renewal applications and submissions, online quoting, reviewing quotes, negotiating terms and premiums, preparing final quotes and proposals, binding coverage, and issuing renewal invoices, certificates, and auto ID cards.
  • Participate in conference calls and/or periodic in-person client meetings to review insurance strategies and business operations.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new associates.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical expertise to staff.
  • Participate in cross-selling new lines of coverage or services on existing accounts.
  • Follow up on accounts receivable items in accordance with IMA Accounts Receivable Policy.
  • Attend education classes in combination with individual study programs to expand technical coverage knowledge.
