About the position
The Senior Cloud Consultant for U.S. Federal ProServe at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for helping U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions. This role involves solving technical problems, educating clients on application architectures, and leading projects to success using the latest cloud technologies. The consultant will work closely with AWS technical teams and engage in a variety of projects, ensuring strong customer success and driving feature innovation based on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Implement innovative cloud computing solutions for U.S. Intelligence Community agencies.
- Educate and train clients on application architectures and integration approaches.
- Lead projects to ensure successful outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with AWS teams to deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovation.
- Participate in deep-dive education and design exercises to create innovative solutions on AWS.
Requirements
- 7+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
- 3+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
- Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Nice-to-haves
- 7+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
- Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
- Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness.
- Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
