About the position
The Senior Claims Adjuster, Property is responsible for independently managing and resolving claims related to Commercial Property and Casualty, Lender Placed, and other Specialty products. This role emphasizes maintaining effective communication with agents, insureds, and company personnel while ensuring high-quality service standards and meeting departmental performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Independently review, investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims related to Commercial Property and Casualty, Lender Placed, and Specialty products.
- Maintain effective contact with agents, insureds, and company personnel.
- Ensure high quality service standards while meeting or exceeding departmental performance goals.
- Maintain appropriate reserves and identify trends in claims.
- Communicate covered and non-covered items effectively.
- Accurately review all available coverages.
- Obtain and maintain all applicable state licenses as required.
- Provide coverage, liability, and damages analysis for claims.
- Proactively identify exposures and claim trends affecting the portfolio and provide written assessments to the Specialty business unit.
- Resolve problems and respond to coverage questions for the underwriting team and senior management.
- Effectively pursue Fortegra's Subrogation interest.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional education or experience required.
- 5 plus years experience handling commercial property claims.
- Adjuster Licensing required.
