About The Position
This role develops and refines defined category strategies for critical and/or more complex categories. Employees in this role lead negotiations and identify improvements to secure cost savings and improve quality and efficiency. An individual in this role would also be expected to mentor category specialists and establishes benchmarks and expectations for category strategies.
Requirements
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- 4+ years of experience

Responsibilities
- Support all new gas projects
- Manage gas BOS - steel, breakers, switchgear, transformers, metering, instrument transformers
- Includes weekly touch points with suppliers
- Coordination with projects manager/construction managers
- Factory monitoring/FAT coordination
- Shipping and delivery logistics
- Develops and refines category sourcing strategy
- Conduct market and spend analysis
- Leads negotiations with key suppliers
- Aligns with BUs to collect requirements
- Develops and maintains strategic relationships with critical suppliers
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
