About The Position

This role combines business development with comprehensive client relationship management for retirement plans. The position involves proactively engaging plan sponsors to identify service opportunities, serving as a key liaison between plan sponsors and stakeholders including Third-Party Administrators, Attorneys, and CPAs. Primary responsibilities include addressing benefits issues such as auto-enrollment and plan amendments, responding to participant inquiries regarding plan provisions, enrollment, investments, and loans, and leading educational meetings about plan features. Additionally, the role encompasses coordinating trustee meetings, preparing meeting materials, generating quarterly reports, and maintaining thorough client documentation. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience with an excellent understanding of the stock market, investments and retirement plans.
  • Working knowledge of fixed income products, equities, mutual funds, insurance and annuities.
  • In-depth knowledge of investments, regulatory policies and procedures and ability to analyze client portfolios.
  • Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) licenses and state licenses as deemed necessary.
  • Quantitative and Financial research and analysis experience.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to independently manage multiple demands and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customized asset allocation strategies and investment solutions and evaluate the investment performance data against appropriate benchmarks (e.g., index or industry).
  • Analyze and interpret portfolio performance reports, in conjunction with information gathered from WM research and other external parties, and make recommendations to the FA for potential changes.
  • Develop performance reports for client presentations, respond to client requests and conduct special projects or analyses and potentially be responsible for communicating investment performance results to the FA or client.
  • Keep team informed of all pertinent information and activity related to clients’ accounts and transactions, including issues related to client suitability.
  • Conduct a variety of quantitative and qualitative analyses on individual or classes of equity securities.
  • Independently conduct extensive company, industry and/or marketing analysis used to formulate investment recommendations for the FA.
  • Identify specific communication needs and strategies; work with internal copywriting, graphics and print production staff to produce materials (e.g., brochures, newspaper or magazine advertisements) and secure necessary compliance approval.
