About the position

The Senior Business Analyst or Tester will play a critical role in the implementation of Calypso, focusing on compliance-related functionalities. This position requires a deep understanding of both business products and Calypso's capabilities, facilitating requirements gathering, documentation, and testing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business needs into systematic requirements, managing testing phases, and ensuring high-quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate business requirements sessions and document understanding of business products and Calypso functionality.
• Write, document, and execute test cases, including end-to-end System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Translate business requirements into systematic Calypso requirements and configure, execute, and document the solution end-to-end.
• Work with the team and business partners to create the test strategy and test cases.
• Manage testing for various releases and maintain high levels of quality in testing support.
• Accountability for requirements management planning and execution.
• Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Facilitate and drive requirements gathering sessions.
• Collaborate with business and systems experts to analyze business processes, procedures, data, and rules.
• Negotiate and influence requirements direction and identify solutions to business problems.
• Create business process models, context diagrams, and use case models.
• Apply knowledge of Calypso formal requirement elicitation best practices and facilitate process improvement sessions.
• Define and update documentation tools such as business terminology stored in the master business glossary and data dictionaries.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years direct Calypso experience (Ideally V14 and above), including configuration of Static Data Filters, Reports, Limits, and Workflows.
• Working knowledge of the Compliance Module and knowledge of derivative & fixed income products.
• Experience with compliance workflow approaches related to limit breaches and regulatory reporting.
• Defining data requirements for the development of automated processes used to monitor compliance.
• Experience in agile, iterative project techniques including Scrum; experience with Jira is required.
• Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of business and/or systems analysis.
• Experienced in Waterfall methodologies and capable of handling broad scope projects with medium to long-term focus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods.
• Proficient with standard documentation tools (Visio, Excel, Word).
