About the position

The Senior Benefits Analyst at Quanta Services is responsible for administering and managing corporate benefit plans and programs. This role involves providing guidance to Operating Units on benefit policies, leading integration activities during acquisitions, and coaching the Benefits Administrator. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring effective communication and administration of employee benefits, while also supporting the overall strategy of the company in managing its workforce benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and manages corporate benefit plans and programs.
  • Provides advice and guidance to Operating Units on company benefit policies and contracts.
  • Leads benefits-related activities in integration of acquisitions, tuck-ins, and mergers.
  • Coaches Benefits Administrator.
  • Supports the development, planning, implementation, revision, and administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Participates in the research, analysis, evaluation, and administration of corporate benefit plans and programs.
  • Prepares and implements communication and educational benefits programs and materials.
  • Acts as a liaison between vendors and HR.
  • Oversees enrollment of employees in medical, dental, and prescription drug benefit plans, including annual enrollment.
  • Maintains general information regarding Operating Units access and administrator changes with all vendors.
  • Participates in integration of acquisitions, tuck-ins, and mergers.
  • Trains Unit administrators in QS policy and benefit policies.
  • Advises employees on eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters.
  • Monitors the processing of death and disability claims and acts as a liaison for escalated issues.
  • Researches and resolves complex, non-routine problems.
  • Updates and maintains a variety of benefits documents, including carrier contracts and plan documents.
  • Seeks opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies.
  • Stays abreast of applicable benefits legislation.
  • Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision.
  • Assists with special projects and performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • CEBS, PHR, or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
