About the position

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Associate for their debt and structured finance capital markets team, based in downtown Chicago. The role involves delivering comprehensive financial analysis and analytical support, focusing on underwriting property financial information and preparing marketing materials for borrowers and lenders. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong computer and communication skills, particularly in ARGUS and Excel modeling.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cash flow analysis, summary documentation, and spreadsheets under minimal supervision.
• Analyzes legal real estate documentation, including leases and property financial statements.
• Collaborates with analysts and junior team members to provide completed financial analysis on real estate transactions.
• Prepares and conducts written and oral presentations for Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Creates Offering Memorandum (OM) used to market a property for financing.
• Interacts with potential lenders to explain underwritten details and calculations clearly.
• Assists in the transfer of information between lender and borrower during due diligence.
• Maintains databases tracking various aspects of capital market deal flow.

Requirements

• Highly proficient in working with numbers.
• Strong attention to detail leading to efficient error-free analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Mastery of ARGUS Software and in-depth understanding of real estate market fundamentals.
• 5+ years of commercial real estate experience is preferred.
