About the position

The Senior Associate, Systems Engineering will perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design and implementation plans. The role involves developing test plans, procedures, and cases, conducting tests, and documenting results. The candidate will use software tools, scripting, and software/hardware troubleshooting to analyze systems requirements from end systems and users. Additionally, the position supports the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures, and requires the development and delivery of presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
  • Familiar with Rhapsody
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience in advanced Optical Systems, EO/IR Sensors, or ISR applications
  • Background in developing systems model and modeling software architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or similar SysML development tool
  • Verification and Validation (V&V) experience or Integration and Test (I&T) experience and use of test planning tools (e.g., LabView, TestStand)
  • Proficiency in hardware/software integration, with the ability to collaborate with hardware engineers and software developers to ensure seamless integration of subsystems and components
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, scripting languages, data-loggers, or advanced excel data analyses
  • Knowledge and experience in the Aerospace/Defense sector
  • Environmental Testing / Qualification (ESS) experience
  • Experience working under an AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Management System
  • Familiarity with INCOSE and the Systems Engineering Book of Knowledge (SEBOK)
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar degree path preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplined integrated product team (IPT)
