About the position

The Senior Associate, Product Management - Ethics Product Lead (Sherlock) at Capital One is responsible for driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. This role focuses on product management essentials, including collaboration with tech teams, managing feature development roadmaps, and conducting research to develop features that utilize new technology. The position aims to streamline corporate investigations and optimize team outcomes while fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria and identify research needs for future feature design.
  • Breakdown business epics into features and user stories, driving the team towards Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for valid feature tests.
  • Use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure product features meet real business needs.
  • Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps, managing risk through necessary processes and procedures.
  • Conduct research and develop features in an agile environment, collaborating with designers, technologists, and data scientists.
  • Deliver well-managed product platforms by understanding technology trends and architecture strategy.
  • Develop frameworks for complex decision making to enable effective debate and accelerate problem-solving.
  • Articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
  • At least 1 year of product management experience or experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
  • 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences.
  • 1+ years working with cross-functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process.
