About The Position

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of assigned reconciliations. This includes the maintenance of account balances, general ledger, and all reports.

Requirements

Strong experience and highly proficient in information technology and financial applications; Extensive knowledge of Excel.
Requires highly developed general accounting skills in corporate-level accounting and reporting activities.
Requires outstanding financial systems skills.
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
Requires strong attention to detail
Must possess excellent time management skills; must be able to handle multiple projects with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills required.
4 year bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Experience with banking cash management systems, including processing electronic payments (ACH and Wires).

Nice To Haves

SAGE Intacct ERP experience preferred but not required
Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required
Active (or actively pursuing) CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with monthly close processes including (but not limited to): revenue, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, prepaids, fixed assets, and treasury.
Assist with monthly consolidation process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management team.
Complete monthly account reconciliations, including researching and resolving discrepancies, as applicable.
Work collaboratively with external auditors to provide the appropriate support, explanations, etc. for annual 401k and financial reporting audits.
Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions to increase the productivity of the corporate accounting team.
Ad hoc projects/other duties as assigned.
Serve as back-up for other members of the accounting team.
