This position will perform key accounting and financial compliance tasks for Versigent’s North American region. The position will report to the Global Controller and assist in key monthly closing activities to ensure accurate financial records and adherence to Company policies primarily for trial balances in the US and Mexico. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting or audit background with experience in Oracle/Hyperion and SAP. In this role, you will have high visibility to upper management and great opportunity for career progression.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of relative experience, preferably with a publicly traded company
  • Experience working in internal or external Audit
  • SAP / Hyperion / Oracle experience
  • Ability to analyze information and recommend course of action
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Local residents only, with the ability to work onsite in Troy, MI
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer now, or at any time in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive / Manufacturing industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform key monthly close activities and analysis for Versigent’s North American region including journal vouchers and account reconciliations
  • Coordinate with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Controls
  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables for presentation to finance leadership
  • Support and instruct regional finance personnel regarding internal accounting guidance and policy
