About The Position

The Senior Accountant supports the Company's accounting and finance functions by maintaining accurate financial records, supporting timely financial reporting, assisting with close activities, strengthening internal controls, and providing reliable accounting information for management decision-making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit support.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Office is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, inventory, cost accounting, ERP, multi-entity, or intercompany accounting experience is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis tools, are strongly preferred.
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, analytical, organized, confidential, collaborative, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities while communicating professionally with management and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and review of general ledger activity.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP, Company policies, and established accounting procedures.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, sales tax reporting, cash flow tracking, and other recurring accounting functions as assigned.
  • Prepare financial reports, account analyses, management schedules, and ad-hoc reports to support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and operational decision-making.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, discrepancies, unusual activity, and opportunities for cost reduction or process improvement.
  • Assist with inventory-related accounting, cycle count support, physical inventory audits, inventory reconciliations, and related variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, researching account activity, and responding to questions as needed.
  • Help implement, maintain, and monitor internal controls designed to safeguard Company assets and support compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Production, HR/Payroll, and other departments to resolve accounting questions, improve processes, and ensure timely flow of financial information.
  • Assist with payroll-related accounting entries, reconciliations, and reporting as needed while maintaining confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and support documentation in accordance with Company recordkeeping requirements.
  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures, work instructions, accounting standards, and Company policies.
